Hybrid Modifications

The Double L was a popular modification in the 1950's and 1960's. It gave a forward speed of 8-10 mph and was stable in turns.

The T-L Modification combined the T and Double L modifications. The large area of cutouts made for a very rapid descent. This canopy was not reccommended for beginners.

The TU Modification became very popular because it had a slow descent rate, forward speed of 10-12 mph and was stable in turns. The descent rate was 21 fps with a 200-lbs load. Full 360o turns could be done in 5 seconds. This parachute modification was used by the 1960 US Team.
